Libya & Syria (2011)
In 2011, internal conflict gave rise to civil war in Libya. Migrant workers were escaping the war into neighbouring Tunisia. Our teams provided emergency humanitarian aid on the Tunisian/Libyan border. Working alongside the UN and world food programme.
Khalsa Aid delivered 4 truckloads of water, with each truck delivering 25,000 bottles. We also worked closely with the World Food Programme assisting in the delivery of baby milk powder.
