Khalsa Aid continues to support families displaced by the ongoing conflict in Lebanon.

Our teams are providing fresh bread to 500 displaced families every day for 15 days in Saida, South Lebanon.

The response is being delivered with the Development and Cooperation Association, a local organisation supporting communities affected by the crisis.

Many families have been forced to leave their homes due to the conflict. Some are now staying in schools that have opened as temporary shelters.

While this has provided a place of safety, it has also disrupted education. Classrooms are now being used to shelter displaced people.

The bread distribution is supported by 16 tonnes of flour funded by Khalsa Aid Canada. The flour is being used to prepare packs of fresh bread for families over a two-week period.

The ongoing conflict has placed further pressure on communities across Lebanon. Food prices have risen. Many people have lost work or seen their income reduced.

Khalsa Aid is also extending support to immigrant communities in Lebanon, where rising living costs and reduced work opportunities have placed further pressure on vulnerable households.

This response forms part of Khalsa Aid’s continued support for internally displaced families in Lebanon.
