At Toronto Nagar Kirtan 2026, Khalsa Aid Canada connected with the sangat through community outreach and volunteer-led turban tying, while sharing a message of unity, tolerance and service.
Khalsa Aid Founder and CEO Ravi Singh joined the sangat at Toronto Nagar Kirtan on 26 April 2026, where he addressed the community and shared a message of unity, tolerance and collective responsibility.
The annual Nagar Kirtan brought thousands of people together in Toronto, Canada, to celebrate Vaisakhi, Sikh faith and community. During his visit, Ravi Singh met with sangat, supporters and volunteers, thanking the Toronto community for the love and support shown to Khalsa Aid.
Speaking to attendees, Ravi Singh praised the turban tying taking place at the event and recognised the efforts of volunteers who helped share this important part of Sikh identity with the wider community. Khalsa Aid Canada volunteers tied turbans for around 300 people throughout the day, creating a welcoming space for people to learn, connect and engage.
Ravi Singh encouraged the community to carry the message of Vaisakhi beyond the event. He spoke about the importance of being more tolerant of one another, avoiding division and working together with greater unity.
His message also reflected on the need for cooperation within the community, especially in Canada, where many continue to face racism and discrimination. He reminded attendees that Nagar Kirtan is a powerful unifying day, bringing people together through faith, heritage and community.

Ravi Singh’s visit to Canada was also an opportunity to connect with supporters face to face and recognise the volunteers who continue to support Khalsa Aid’s work. He called on the community to be the change they wish to see and to work more closely with others.
Khalsa Aid Canada was present at the event with an information booth, where attendees learnt more about the organisation’s humanitarian work and ongoing projects. The team also shared giveaways, including fridge magnets and wristbands, and welcomed visitors throughout the day.
Khalsa Aid Canada extends sincere thanks to the Toronto sangat for their warmth, encouragement and continued support. We are also grateful to our team and volunteers for their hard work, dedication and service throughout the event.
Toronto Nagar Kirtan 2026 was a powerful reminder that the message of Vaisakhi lives through unity, compassion and action. Through the continued support of the sangat, Khalsa Aid remains committed to serving communities in need with dignity and humanity.
