In 2003, Khalsa Aid were contacted by local NGOs to provide assistance to minority communities in Afghanistan. Khalsa Aid launched a relief program with experienced field operatives.
Khalsa Aid provided support to the Kabul Sikh and Hindu communities which included:
– Purchase of educational items (e.g. stationary, books, school bags etc.)
– Purchase of three personal computers
– Financial support of running a local primary school in the region
