To mark 25 years of assisting those in need, Khalsa Aid International is thrilled to announce the launch of a year-long Random Acts of Kindness initiative, inviting individuals worldwide to join us in spreading compassion and goodwill throughout 2024. At Khalsa Aid, we have been committed to humanitarian service since our inception in 1999, and this initiative is a way for us to commemorate a quarter-century of impactful work while encouraging a global movement of kindness.
Founded by Ravi Singh, Khalsa Aid has played a pivotal role in providing aid and support during times of crisis, becoming synonymous with selfless service. Now, as we commemorate our silver jubilee, our Random Acts of Kindness initiative aims to extend the spirit of goodwill beyond the boundaries of our immediate efforts.
We invite you to commit to performing 25 random acts of kindness throughout the year, embracing the diverse range of opportunities to make a positive impact. These acts can be as simple as letting someone merge in traffic or paying for a stranger's coffee or as thoughtful as offering free babysitting for parents in need or leaving a generous tip for a service worker.
We encourage participants to share their acts of kindness on social media using the hashtag #BeKind25. At Khalsa Aid, we believe that this initiative serves as a celebration of the collective power of small, thoughtful actions and the ability of individuals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
As the year unfolds, we invite our volunteers and supporters to stay connected with us through our social media channels and website for updates on further events and initiatives. Together, let us mark a quarter-century of compassion, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of our volunteers who have made Khalsa Aid a beacon of hope for countless individuals around the world.
After completing our initial assessments, we successfully concluded the first phase of our relief efforts. Approximately 700 to 800 meals were prepared daily by paid locals and dedicated volunteers, sustaining communities for a continuous 14-day period. It is estimated that these efforts provided nourishment to over 10,000 individuals.
In addition to the daily meals, our team worked diligently to assemble food parcels tailored for remote villages situated at very high altitudes. These parcels were dispatched through specialised personnel capable of ensuring their safe and efficient delivery.
As we transition into the second phase of our relief initiative, our focus is on preparing 1000 food parcels. Simultaneously, our team is exploring the possibility of distributing 500 blankets and 500 tarpaulins, aiming to address both immediate and long-term needs within the affected communities.
Your ongoing support is invaluable as we continue our commitment to making a positive impact in these challenging times.

Start of Aid Relief – 4th November 2023
On November 3rd, 2023, Nepal was struck by a powerful earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in Barekot, Jajarkot District. Jajarkot District, situated within Nepal's Karnali Province, is known for its rugged and challenging landscape.
According to the local Government data, the earthquake has so far claimed the lives of over 150 individuals in Jajarkot alone. Local authorities continue to work tirelessly to ascertain the full extent of the tragedy. Currently, more than 500 individuals are reported to be injured, and over 4000 homes have been destroyed.
The affected communities are in dire need of immediate relief, including medical assistance, sustenance, and shelter. Shurkhet, strategically located, is poised to serve as a vital resource centre for coordinating aid efforts.
In response to this crisis, Khalsa Aid is mobilising a team to conduct thorough assessments, determining the most pressing needs of the affected populations. Our ground teams are preparing to distribute hot meals and essential items to assist those in critical condition.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and destruction caused by this earthquake. Our teams are committed to working tirelessly to provide immediate and short-term relief to the affected communities in Nepal, recognising the urgency of the situation,” said Ravinder Singh (CEO Khalsa Aid)
